Medical Vision Institute is the ophthalmology practice of Jitander S. Dudee, MD a Board Certified eye surgeon who has been practicing in Lexington, KY since 1994. We are a private clinic specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of complex eye disorders as well as providing quality, family eye care including thorough eye health exams and contact lens fitting.
We perform premium cataract surgery and have an in-house laser surgery suite for LASIK and cosmetic procedures such as eyelid rejuvenation. We also manage glaucoma, dry eyes, diabetic retina and care for children of all ages. We offer a wide variety of stylish frames and high precision ophthalmic lenses.
Our office is conveniently located with ample parking and easy access. We take pride in the thoroughness of our eye exams so that our optical prescriptions are guaranteed to provide you with the best possible vision. We accept most forms of medical insurance as well as many vision benefit plans. We place importance on promoting our practice by providing the highest level of professional care.

Dr. Dudee is a Board certified ophthalmologist specializing in anterior segment and refractive surgery. He completed his medical training with honors from Cambridge University and St Thomas’s Hospital Medical School in England. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has obtained the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London, England.
He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Washington National Eye Center, Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
He has been in private practice in Lexington, performing refractive surgery since 1994.
He has wide and detailed surgical expertise having performed several thousands of ocular surgeries. Dr. Dudee is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Kentucky Medical Association and the Lexington Medical Society. He has received numerous awards, patents and professional distinctions.
